I'm back to regular speed now........I think. But, I haven't been able to get on the site for about 4 hours, and it was running very slow prior to that.

Yes, what else do we have to do at night after kids in bed??

AnnainNZ · 14/10/2007 03:53

Or indeed while in a different time zone, 37 wks pg and with bump so big hardly able to haul self upright out of bed on Sunday afternoon, therefore in need of MN to pass the time! I couldn't load MN for about an hour. Had to resort to internet backgammon and podcasts from UK radio instead (not a bad substitute, as it happens)

Tech · 14/10/2007 04:05

hi, i think there was a bit of a "routing" issue that meant it was very slow from some bits of the internet but not others. think all should be ok now.

Earlybird · 14/10/2007 04:11

Tech - my goodness you're working late. When things went wrong, I assumed it might have to wait 'til morning (at least) to be fixed as I imagined you were away from the shed, and having a life on Saturday night!

sparklygothkat · 14/10/2007 08:41

I had to go to bed too. Sod's law, I hadn't been on all evening, then I thought I have quick flick through and nothing. Trouble is all I wanted to do was start a thread 'Arrrg! I can't get on Mumsnet!'

ScaryScaryNight · 14/10/2007 11:21

MMAxeM ... LOl

No no no! It was not a flounce. VVVQV asked if it was a full fledge flounce, so I said it was a very secret flounce. IE un-announced, UN premeditated, and actually quite uneventful. I also said it was because I couldnt get on here.....

Aside from not being able to get ON here, nothing else caused me to visit, pure tourism.

Let that be clear.

You would not believe what happened. (and I cant blame my organized mums diary, but my AP) There was I, waking up excitedly about my forthcoming evening at the BM, when the phone rang, at 9 am, me still in my PJ, and the mum in my sons class was saying "You ready? I am outside!". The exhibition was at 10 AM not PM!!! I had to dress and put make up on in 2 minutes flat, grab a breadroll, and say to my husband: You are with the kids today, am off to the BM this instant!" He was very amused. -not.
How could this be?
The mum in my sons class asked my AP (as she is very interested in the far east) if she wanted to come to the BM to see the Teracotta Warriors at 10 saturday, she said yes, but later said to me she was not so keen because there was a scandinavian evening at TigerTiger. So I assumed the BM event was in the evening, as I seriously doubted a night club would do a scandinavian evening in the morning. In any event, she spent the evening with Mrs R's AP. And, as my husband had spent the day with the kids, he was exhausted and was not keen for me to come home and say, oh, on my way out to dinner the moment I got in.

Most irrating, as I hear you laid on a spread that cannot be topped in the foreseable future! I should have been there!
Grrr what a mixup, LOL!

Note to self: remember to practice brevity.
