Ad blocker installed pop up

I have a browser which blocks adverts. On my PC and same on my phone.
Now every time I log onto MN I get a really annoying pop up notification telling me an ad/script blocking software 'is interfering with this page'.
No, it isn't. It's stopping me seeing ads that I don't want to see.
How do I make it go away?

@soniamumsnet

Hi *@RiftGibbon* along with many other sites, and to follow recommendations from the IAB, we've implemented a consent platform on Mumsnet. This gives you even more choice over the data that can be collected and used - which is why you are now seeing a new pop-up with a lot of privacy options.

This link should be helpful if you need any more information:

Understand that but it keeps popping up. As in, I log in to view a thread and there it is. I agree. I click into another thread, it pops up again. I agree. I post a comment, there it is again...

I have the same issue, driving me insane, it pops up every single time I click a thread or change page, this is making the site unusable.
I am using Brave browser.

Me too, Englishrose I have taken off the screening on the PC and it's exactly the same.
I use brave as they don't seem to harvest data like Google does. Its really frustrating.

MN need to pay their staff, run servers and maintain office space. Thats pretty much paid for with revenue from ads.

Yes, they might be annoying but its either that or everyone pays for all content on the web.

All good today - looks as though the problem us resolved now on mobile devices (at least, it is for me). Will check in the PC later and report back.

Hello, RiftGobbon

We think this message you keep receiving could be as a result of things discussed on this thread here. Could you take a look and see if this looks to be same issue to you?

We can see you are on an android phone using the Brave browser. Is that right?

RiftGibbon · 14/11/2020 20:39

Sounds like it was the same thing @CarolineMumsnet but hooray, hooray it hasn't happened at all today on the PC or the phone. I have brave browser on both.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it's stopped now.

Disable ad blocker has suddenly stopped me viewing Mumsnet, is anyone else having this problem?
