Why has my MN gone massive?

I’m using the desktop site on my mobile, and it’s gone enormous!

It’s not my accessibility settings - every other site looks normal.

Is it just me who’s getting this? It’s most offputting!

Hi @LunaNorth,

Sorry you're having problems with the font size. We're moving your thread over to Site Stuff and have flagged it to our Tech team.

Hopefully we'll be back soon with an update. Brew

Back again. Don't suppose anyone's able to upload a screenshot, by any chance?

Our Tech team are looking into this now but have also asked if there's a chance you've (all!) zoomed in accidentally - they've suggested closing your browser window and starting a new one, in case it solves the issue.

DawnMumsnet · 25/06/2020 16:05

Brilliant, thanks @LunaNorth

Hi again @LunaNorth and @Datun

Our Tech team are still trying to work out what this issue is, but in the meantime, they've said:

A few things to try:

  1. Logout & login (yes, that old chestnut) Smile
  1. Clear cache Google support - clear cache and cookies
  1. Check the accessibility settings (we know you've already looked into this, but here are the instructions again just in case) -
3 dots > settings > Accessibility > Text scaling

It might be that there is a random styling bug on some versions of some browsers but those 3 things will tell us if it is.

We'll be back with any more updates asap, but please let us know how you get on.

(And sorry for all the faff!)

DawnMumsnet · 26/06/2020 09:33

Wahay, @LunaNorth and @Datun!

Looks like you've both managed to solve this one. Will tell the Tech team to Stand Down. Grin

DawnMumsnet · 26/06/2020 14:16

Thanks for helping out, @Datun. And glad you're all sorted now too, @SquitMcJit.

We got there in the end. Brew

LouMumsnet · 27/06/2020 12:03

Hi there, @drspouse - sorry to hear that!

As previously posted on the thread, Tech have advised

  1. Logout & login
  1. Clear cache Google support - clear cache and cookies
  1. Check the accessibility settings -
3 dots > settings > Accessibility > Text scaling

Let us know if this is helpful won't you? If not, we'll have a look into it for you. Smile.
