I'm curious, following the live chat with Dr Tanya Byron.. what happens if their name already a used nickname?

I'm sure there was a Joanne Lumley as well (although I don't quite know what she would be giving a live chat about)

Fortunately so far we've never had to deal with this (can see stampede now of folks going off to choose celeb names - Please NO ). I guess we'd just have to prefix it with words or numbers The RealNadine Baggott/Joanna Lumley1. The we'd have to ask - politely of course - the Mumsnetter with the name to behave on the day and hope for the best!

Fortunately we have no plans in the near future for an online chat with the real margosbeenplayingwithmynoonoo (we did try but sadly they weren't available)
