Replies showing if you're on "I'm on" but not visible on the actual thread

As above. I've noticed this a few times now. If I go to "I'm on" I can see replies but then I click into the thread they do not appear.

My first though was is the secret bat minge club up and running again? That was something to do with the preview post button.
