New board in Talk? - Stillbirth/neonatal death

Since my DD went through a stillbirth last year, I’ve noticed threads from posters in both miscarriage/ pregnancy loss and bereavement about both of these issues.

It feels as if neither section is quite right for parents/family/friends who want support and/or advice. The emotional and practical issues are unique - ie having to register the death, funeral, bodily changes, feelings around the birth, deciding when to say goodbye and let the baby be taken away for the last time, post-mortem, how to deal with family/friends and coping with different responses by a partner.

Somehow I feel as if threads can get lost within the wider subject of the miscarriage and pregnancy loss and also in bereavement. Hopefully such a board will be relevant for a minority of posters but being able to see exactly where to post might help them get the support and advice they need.

Hi OP

We;re so sorry to hear about what your DD went through.

We really appreciate the suggestion and will discuss this in the office. In the meantime, we'll keep an eye on this thread and see if anyone else would also find this useful.
