It is beginning to seem this way. I've not a clue what they have tinkered with but its hardly a small update when it creates such a large scale problem. I still cannot see any watched threads and purple is still the OP on this thread. Although I can now see all 89 messages.

Me too I'm using Safari on a MacBook.

The threads are all over the place most seem to be starting half way through or at least people are all chatting away like it makes sense when it completely doesn't this thread says HQ have commented on it but I don't see it and nothing in active or watching threads that's all on iPhone and safari
