Seemed to go quiet here then it's started again over the last couple of days.

Hi there all,

There are some known issues with Firefox, so those of you using Firefox, could you please try a different browser?

For those you using Chrome, can we confirm you've attempted getting rid of the adblocker? If so, do let us know and we'll look further into it.

AnneOfCleanTables · 16/03/2019 21:39

Why do we need to get rid of adblocker to use MN?
Repeatedly asking the same privacy questions and defaulting to options that we've already rejected is not a way to keep users. No other website/forum seems to have these problems. It's starting to look like a deliberate policy to wear MNers down so they'll agree to all your tracking demands.

CruelAndUnusualParenting · 18/03/2019 12:50

For me at least, this seems to be caused by the "Privacy Badger" addon. I adjusted the sliders green for various Quantcast related addresses and I can now browse Mumsnet without excessive popups.

Do you mean permenantly? I use firefox because I prefer it, I'm not going to get another browser just for one website, if the messages continue I'm more likely to stop using MN.

Hi there all,

Thanks for getting back to us.

We don't expect those of you using Firefox to use a different browser all the time, it was just to confirm whether or not the cause of the issue in this instance was the known issue with Firefox. Could those of you using Firefox try following the instructions here

If anyone's using PrivacyBadger add on, if you could also try following @CruelAndUnusualParenting's instructions to slide the Quantcast related sliders to green, and see if that fixes the problem.

I am using internet explorer on my iPhone and I get this too intermittently.

brizzlemint · 21/03/2019 09:36

I got it several times (every time last night) and a few times this morning but not since.
I'm also not getting the email to reset my password - I've tried a few times.

AnyaMumsnet · 21/03/2019 12:16

Hi there @brizzlemint,

Could you please drop us a line about your password reset at [email protected]?

KingLooieCatz · 21/03/2019 12:21

On one device I get it every single time I change the page. I also get the videos starting without me clicking on them.
