It's a bit embarrassing when secretly mumnet surfing at work and suddenly it's obvious to all the office world that's exactly what you're doing!

Hi Aridane,

WE'RE HERE (finally) Smile

So sorry for the delay. And obviously we're also sorry that this formatting issue is happening for so many of you. We're looking into this and will be back as soon as we can work out what's causing this.

Just to be extra clear, it sounds like you're telling us that this is a problem on both Chrome and Safari, desktop and mobile sites, android and iPhone - is that right?

ScreamingValenta · 02/02/2019 11:25

I get GIANT MUMSNET from time to time on Safari desk top. It happens when I click into a thread, or 'active' or 'I'm on'. It will keep happening if I use the back button, but goes away if I click on something else. There appears to be no pattern to it.

And internet explorer on my work Lenovo laptop!

@Aridane

And internet explorer on my work Lenovo laptop!

Got it!

AdaColeman · 02/02/2019 15:32

When it occurs, I get what is apparently a blank screen, then scrolling down reveals GIANT MUMSNET.
My guess is that a lot more people are getting this without realising it. They see the blank screen, and just think they've not connected properly so click onto another page.

CarolineMumsnet · 02/02/2019 15:49

Hello

Just popping on to let you know that this should now be all fixed.

If (after refreshing, turning off and on etc) you are still finding Mumsnet's gone large, do let us know here.

Cake.

Crunchymum · 02/02/2019 16:35

Seem to get this (using mobile site) after 10pm?

ScreamingValenta · 02/02/2019 20:46

Sorry to say, @CarolineMumsnet, I just got it again immediately after posting a reply on this thread at 20:44 today:

SwedishEdith · 02/02/2019 20:50

Yes, I get this. I assumed it was a troublesome ad (I've got an adblocker) screwing things up.

AdaColeman · 02/02/2019 20:55

Unfortunately CarolineMumsnet I'm still being affected by this, so it's not cured. I'm on Safari desktop on a MacBook.

RivkaMumsnet · 02/02/2019 22:01

Sorry to hear this is still happening. We'll continue to investigate now!

ReaganSomerset · 02/02/2019 22:03

Yes! Doesn't affect the actual thread beneath so I just scroll down and carry on.

ScreamingValenta · 02/02/2019 22:23

Also Safari desktop.

Pythonesque · 02/02/2019 22:29

I've had this intermittently on Firefox for a long time. Will try to remember to come back and post here next time it happens.

ScreamingValenta · 02/02/2019 22:30

Thank you, @RivkaMumsnet Smile.

OlennasWimple · 02/02/2019 22:32

I had this about 30 mins ago - using Chrome on a PC (how very old fashioned I am!)

ElvisParsley · 03/02/2019 17:50

Been happening here for a while. Happened again just now. Chrome on Android.

GIANT MUMSNET seems to have disappeared for a bit for me !!
