Hi , last night/early morning when using the feminism chat board there was an (i) in top left corner where it usually has a padlock indicating its secure. And when I clicked it said connection to this site wasn't secure and website had/could have images designed to trick you. Or something like that...anyone know? was there a security breach? the padlock and https: is back now..

images meaning what? I've heard before about emails that an 'image' in this context can mean a pixel or something hidden in the page, and simply opening it can be a problem, so shouldn't click/open any email from dodgy address? does this mean for mumsnet, just browsing and posting on the site can have your information intercepted and stolen? did this happen last night/early hours of this morning? is mumsnet secure from hackers doing this? there are people who would and could hack that board if so, and have basically threatened to do so.

Hi there OP,

Thanks for getting in touch about this, and we're sorry to hear it's worrying you.

There's absolutely nothing to worry about here, it's likely ad related and the site is definitely secure. We are looking into this and trying to resolve it.

We hope this puts your mind at rest.
