Is there a place on MN where we can list houses for rent?

Our tenants are leaving and I'd like to let our house to a nice MN family, but can't see anywhere on the site to post. Is that not allowed or am I just being dim?

What’s a nice man family?

Aridane · 06/12/2018 12:36

I know what you mean, OP Xmas Smile

Maybe see if you could post it on MN local if you’re allowed? Such a nice thing of you to do @heroinsinflight letting agents fees are ridiculous and such a faff.

Nissemand · 06/12/2018 12:39

I read weird and wonderful stipulations from landlords and letting agents, but wanting the tenant to be a Mumsnetter is a new one. Grin

Maybe there's a classifieds board here or something?

heronsinflight · 06/12/2018 12:46

Well, I am willing to consider non Mumsnetters... but it's a family house and it seems an obvious place to post it if only I knew how.

Have you taken pics for an advert? Have you got a stunt pineapple?

BrieAndChilli · 06/12/2018 12:49

i'm sure it might be allowed but you are being dim to think that every person on mumsnet is a nice family! (unless of course its a lovely cheap 4 bed near me, in which case yes please!!!)

Heuschrecke · 06/12/2018 15:06

Sarawish, the OP didn't say 'man', she said MN = Mumsnetter!

I'd be very careful about this idea, heronsinflight, there are far too many trolls on here. You're probably better sticking with trusted agents/websites.

Having said that, there is a House swap topic. Gawd knows how long it's been there - and I think it's generally for 'holiday swaps' or, maybe, Council House swaps?

Will you be paying commission to Mumsnet to allow you to advertise your business?

heronsinflight · 06/12/2018 16:21

I'd probably be happy if MN offered this as a paid service, yes. Are MNers charged for posting ads in other categories?

There is a small business ads section www.mumsnet.com/Talk/small_business_ads which has a £50 fee, but I doubt that anyone even goes into that topic, so you'd be wasting your money and time.
