I’m trying to log in on Chrome on my laptop running Windows 10. I get past the “Enter your email address” page fine, but when I get to the password page and click on “Sign in”, nothing happens - no “incorrect password”, nothing. I’ve switched off the ad blocker for this page and that’s made no difference. Any ideas? (I’ve requested and renewed my password, just to make sure that that wasn’t the issue, but I still can’t log in!)

Hi there,

Thanks or letting us know about this, and we're sorry - it sounds rather annoying!

It sounds like it could be an issue specific to Windows 10 - is there anyone not using Windows 10 and having this issue?

AnyaMumsnet · 13/12/2018 11:38

Hi again all,

We're really sorry it's taking us so long to get back to you - we are still looking into this.

Can we check, is everyone with this issue using the desktop site?

AnyaMumsnet · 03/01/2019 10:57

Hi there everyone,

We're really sorry it's taking a while to get this sorted. If you see any changes with the issue please do let us know, but in the meantime we've given it a nudge.

AnyaMumsnet · 03/01/2019 12:16

Hi again folks,

Sorry for the faff, but we have a few more questions to help us get to the bottom of this, as we haven't been able to replicate it.

Is the email still in the in the input above, despite being greyed out?

Does it make a difference whether you log in straight from the homepage, or if you go the the homepage, then to Talk, then attempt to log in?

Let us know and we'll try to replicate it.

LilyMumsnet · 14/02/2019 15:23

Hi all,

We're still working to identify and fix the issue but no updates yet.

LilyMumsnet · 14/02/2019 16:20

Hi all

We have a favour to ask - if anyone is able to help, please do! The more users able to do this, the better.

We need people to open the javascript console (View->Developer->Javascript console), try to login and send us a screenshot immediately when it fails (before moving off to a different page).

We need to see any and all errors in the javascript console and this is the way that we can do it.

Here's a step by step guide, which should help:

  1. Go to the login page.
  1. On Mac, go to the View menu at the top of the script, then Developer, then Javascript Console.

On PC, click the three dots or bars on the top right of Chrome, Go to More tools, then Developer Tools. Once the tools are showing, ensure you click the Console tab.

  1. Try to login
  1. Send us a screenshot and try to get it to show all the messages in the console section.

Thanks so much for any help you can give us. Flowers
