Vidoes autoplaying

Is there anyway we can disable the videos auto playing on certain threads? I pause them, but as soon as I reload the page, they start again.

It's using data I don't want to use. And it's annoying when trying to listen to something on another tab.

Could you please give us a bit more detail about which videos you're referring to? Are they playing sound or is it just video?

Can we just check, are you all hearing audio? There are currently autoplaying videos which we're testing, but the sound should be off by default.

If you are hearing audio, could you please mute it, refresh the page, and let us know what happens?
