Ads in the middle of a thread? No thank you!

I was reading a discussion and there were ads between one post and the next.
I don't mind ads on the side, but in the middle of a thread no!

Hi Lily, I have been on MN for more than a decade and ads have always been on the side, never inside a discussion.
Hopefully this is not a new trend.
