For a few days I have been getting ads covering part of my thread. I can’t close them. Sometimes one, sometimes two. Usually covering the OP.
Using safari on iPhone.
What can I do to get around this please?

FlissMumsnet · 03/11/2018 21:06

Hi Borridge sorry to hear you're having trouble with the ads.
Would you be able to send us a screenshot - that way we can pass it on to our Ads team so they can take a look.

And again, we're sorry it's making it hard to read the OP...clearly that's a pita.

Hi there OP,

Thanks for the screenshot, that's really useful. We've flagged it to our ads team now.

It'd be great if you could also give us the URL by clicking on the ad, and copying and pasting the address it takes you to.This'll help our Ads team get to the bottom of it

Hi there everyone,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. We're chasing this up now.

AngieMumsnet · 21/11/2018 13:43

Hi All

Sorry for the delay in coming back to you about this but we were investigating with our ad partners as we are unable to replicate this issue, our ads support team have requested the following information to help us troubleshoot;

Hi Angie,

Could you ask the users of mumsnet.com to provide the following details to isolate the cause:

Location of the user
Browser information along with the version
User Geo Date/Time of the event
User agent information (The details of the browser, OS, Device etc.)

AngieMumsnet · 22/11/2018 10:35

JLbaby

From 'User Geo Date/Time of the event' I meant the exact date and time when you were observing the ads covering content. This information is needed to pull up the ads that served in the specified date and time by accessing the ad logs.

trixymalixy thanks I will pass your information on.

Afternoon, everyone. We're so sorry this is still an issue. We're going to flag it with our tech team again and will have an update in due course.

Once again, sorry this is such a PITA for you all.

This issue is with the Google support team at the moment and they are asking if you could please grab a click address for us, if you could please disconnect from any internet or cellular service (airplane mode), then click or tap the ad. The ad will attempt to open in a browser window, but because there's no service it will not load. However, the click string will be exposed in the URL.
Can you please send me that URL.
