Bold/Italics/Underline Functions

It is possible to make these functions easier?

Putting *^_ around each word is time consuming & mistakes are easily made.

Can we not have it that we highlight the text & click on a button as, say you would in Word for example?

Fair enough, just thought it may make life eaier for us.

Can I just hijack for a minute to practise my formatting?

Ta!

Now how does this work?Like this?

MaMonkey · 30/05/2007 09:16

Almost

MaMonkey · 30/05/2007 09:17

Yay ^^

SlightlyMadSlug · 01/06/2007 22:34

Ooo LL - you are clever. I shall remember that one (and put you on my 'anti-grudge' list, eben though I doubt I am on yours after my anughtiness!!!).

Actually I have a problem. All my official documents at work are littered with words flanked by ^ and * (actually I think word/outlook converts one but not the other )

I could have used it then to cross out my "i don't understand how you did that"

SlightlyMadSlug · 05/06/2007 22:09

I very often go to do the pretend crossed out and realise I can't ....

Hello,
Once we finished the product review update - a few weeks hopefully, we're going to let Tech loose on Talk to address the many and various requests for improvements - promise to look at italics etc then,
Best,
MN Towers

WaynettaSlob · 06/06/2007 08:19

Is it just me, or does anyone else have an image of Tech salivating, sitting chained to a desk, being fed (Scooby?) snacks all day, and being let roam free once MNTowers are done with him?

Tech · 06/06/2007 15:56

strikethrough we call that ms cod.

Waynetta your image is not entirely inaccurate. Some days I don't really get dressed proply and just eat biscuits in pyjamas in the back bedroom. Other days I go out to an office for some comp'ny and inspiration.

Anyay, as JR says we'll look at talk enhancements after reviews.

Talking of JR, loving the Dallas re-runs. Am walking round saying of Justine - "JR, you are not going to put me back in that sanat-air-ium" (am trying feebly to represent weird pronunciation of sanatorium they do).

Well in my own head I am anyway. Can't wait for that bit to roll round. Think Sue Ellen just found out she's having John Ross so it'll be a while yet.

Ho hum. Back to shed.
