Is there a problem with logging in/out?

Because I've had to set up a new account for the first time ever, and having done so and logged in I now can't log out to go and try again with my original account.

If I've been banned, fair enough, I'm in good company these days.

But if not, simple instructions as to how to get back to being me would be nice. TIA.

I can't click on lots of links, and there is a delay when I click on anything at all. I can't get into my 'my mumsnet' or inbox either.

Well I've just managed to log out (by clearing my history and cookies and turning off the internet (if in doubt, switch it off and on again ), and it will let me log in with this new email account, but not with my original email account.

Weird.

My display has gone funny (it's zoomed out to about 75%) just in case that is also related?

I couldn't use the "Log In" option at the top of the Talk section. I clicked on the "Threads I'm on" option and it allowed me to log on from there. Didn't need to set up a new account to do it but there is definitely something up with the usual way to log on.

Ah I can't get into my Mumsnet either

It all went pear-shaped for me at 11.30 this morning when I tried to log out. Nothing happened, but I had to turn off the laptop anyway.

I never click on 'remember me' and I always log-in and log-out ... because DP and I share this laptop and I don't want him seeing who I am here!

I, subsequently, tried to look at MN on my iPad and, as Beyond said, the display was bizarrely weird. Much smaller with 'overlays' of other things.

So. Now I'm back on the laptop. Initially couldn't sign in again - until I went round the houses

Aha - all around the houses temporary fix for getting into messages found. Swap into mobile view to access, then switch back

No, I didn't go into 'mobile' from desktop. I just clicked around until I found something that let me in.

But, do you know what? I think it's also got something to do with the different layouts on here. The, so called, new layout has been jumping around - off and on - for a couple of weeks.

So one minute we have the original layout and the next we have the new one - at the top and bottom (images attached). Most irritating anyway. But not helped by all of this today.

Oh I haven't seen that layout yet. Looks like a likely cause though

It's shit! Drives me up the wall!

Bring back 'original Tech', I say

PS - that layout is on the desktop site. I've got no idea what it looks like on mobile or App.

It logged me out and when I tried to log back in said there was no account associated with that name/email. Had to set up a new acccount.

Still can't log in though

On any device if I use my original email address and password and click the login button nothing happens. Now I admit I may have forgotten my password, but if so I should get a "password reset" or "have you forgotten your password" button to click, but I don't.

It's very odd.

Think tech haven't responded yet Maryz.

There is a lag every time Imtrynto type anything and it's driving me mad. C&P is rubbish. Links don't work.

Mine has been doing that all day, logging in and nothing happens. Sometimes turning on and off helped, but other times it didn't. Glad to know its not my computer.

i cannot log in from my phone or my computer. had to create new account (which worked fine) to write this comment.

I'm OK on my laptop (since yesterday afternoon). But if I try to get into MN on my iPad, I'm still getting the weird 'reduced plus overlaid view'. I'm now going to need 3 devices to try to show you this.

Unfortunately the squiffy and overlaid view on the iPad is still there.

Last few days I have sometimes, but not always, had two different log-in screens presented to me in quick succession.

IPad still doing it! Is Tech on holiday?
