I have just seen a thread which had 1,001 posts. Obviously the last two posters posted at exactly the same time and the limit went over.
It got me thinking about the amount of times a thread escalates with people placemarking and the thread hits 1,000 posts before the OP manages to post a link to a second thread. Then I spend ages trying to find the second post which may not even exist!
Is it possible MNHQ could add an extra post with a link to a new thread (obviously I mean with some intervention from the OP, I am not suggesting you trawl through all the threads 
) or even reduce the thread limit to 999 so you could add the last post?
