OMG the top advert bar

Tis so fucking annoying. I know, adds is money is good business, and I even read a few.

But the top add that does not fuck off when you scroll down / up? which means losing half the screen, and to add insult for me it’s some duck faced smug arse selling shite I’ve no interest in, means I do not even read the op. Such is the duck face annoyance that I click away rather than read / comment.

Please make the top add bar fuck off when I start scrolling.

Adblock Plus free from appstore. Install then follow instructions to enable (easy peasy)

An adlocker just kills the bars content - bar is still there and moving - makes threads very hard to read.

I now have to have another window blocking the top of my browser as its just impossible to read anything with the spinning wheel constantly going round (i'm currently using an Excel window ). This is now the only way MN is usable for me:

I absolutely hate these ads too. It makes the site look irritating and trashy. Puts me off and I’ve been a member for years.

I would be more than happy to pay for MN - why can't we have an 'ad free' option?
