I know personal attacks are deleted on MN. Someone hurled an unusually unpleasant insult at me and another poster not long ago. The post stayed until the thread was deleted for a different reason (the rude poster was not the OP of the thread).
On one of her slightly goadier threads, I repeated the insult she hurled at me. My post was deleted, presumably because she doesn't want to be associated with her ghastly post.
It irks me she is out there giving advice with her sweet as pie username. Could you clarify your stance on such deletion, please? I feel I own the insult, the original stood and the poster did not take it back in any way.
