Every time I arrive on the site, half my screen is filled with stuff about Pregnancy.
I'm 52
one of my kids is at University, the other soon will be
PLEASE
make a way for me to hide stuff that most definitely does not "interest me"

I'm on the mobile site and when I get to the bottom of a thread, even to get to the 'back to top' in order to 'watch' I'm getting 4 or 5 of these adverts to do with pregnancy calculators and getting your baby to sleep. None of which are remotely applicable to me.

My sponsored ad on this page is an arial photo of an idyllic beach and the ad is all about "luxe" honeymoon destinations. How clever of MN to know that I am planning to divorce dh and marry a millionaire who doesn't mind short chubby 55 year olds in specs who will whisk me away on a destination honeymoon! Am well impressed Grin.

Hi there @lornamumsnet
I'm still not interested in a pregnancy calculator

why are you still inflicting it on us ??

It does NOT INTEREST ME
and makes me even more glad of my multiple adblockers that I would recommend to all posters who are not trying to get up the duff

I don't mind the ads but am pissed off that clicking on Reply on the mobile site takes me to the middle of "This may also interest you" ads rather than the comment box. I the. Have to scroll up to get to said box, and the way to do that on the iPhone is to swipe down, which sometimes clicks on one of the ads (so then I have to close that window, and get back to the one I was trying to write a comment on). All of this takes ages & fucks me off.

It seems a bit pathetic. Are you so desperate for revenue that you try to trick people into clicking on ads? It's ruining user experience IMHO.

I agree. It’s a bad feature

Hi,

Thanks for the feedback.

Just a little update here. Not too far into the future, we'll be able to make sure that logged in users don't get stuff that they've no earthly use for. We're not quite there yet, so please do bear with us and watch this space.
