Getting the gin emoticon all the time

When reading threads I seem to get the gin emoticon when it looks like the poster has put a face emoticon instead, if that makes sense.

So for example they will write 'and they pulled this face (emoticon)' but I just see gin.

Hi folks, another update here. Tech has identified the issue! The problem is that, time-wise, it might take a while to fix. Thanks so much for all of the info and patience here, it's v. much appreciated.

I get this all the time on the app, I read the threads in my head like they're being spoken by someone with Tourettes, I had one taday with random footballs

Just popped in to see how the fix was going. Because I'm still getting GIN GIN GIN all the time, which is fine, except it probably skews the posters' intention.
