Ok so we have established the "bottom/row" bit, now can someone translate this please?

"Good appeal for the poor poppets without the night whatever it is. My ds too old for me to know! "

She was talking about the cbeebies show The Night Garden which has a cult following, apparently. On R4's Front Bottom (Row) presented by Mark Pompous (Lawson)

Didn't hear it though!

Tigana · 26/04/2007 10:13

Thank you!

NotQuiteCockney · 26/04/2007 10:22

Ah, right. I honestly didn't know there was a show called Front Row, or who it was hosted by. So I assumed she really had been talking about front bottoms, and the various terms people have for them [foreigner]

PetronellaPinkPants · 26/04/2007 10:27

May I nominate this for the award of most torturous thread ever

Porcupine · 26/04/2007 10:27

comes out from under chair for a moment, stands straight with hand on heart and promises:
"I shall never ever start a thread again with quite so little thought."

But of course ML is very fine and all that but he is so full of himself that it makes me want to lie down and take medication. I didn't mean he is what you wrote lillapin just that it needs it's self importance reduced at every opportunity!
Thanks Aloha for illuminating the darkness!

Why do people throw around the term 'offended' so easily?

Finding something funny or ridiculous is different from getting offended by it.

And let's face it, The Night Garden is freakish.

ipanemagirl · 26/04/2007 11:32

(whispers) "ahhhh expat though I fear you....... you are fearsome often Right!"

Really flees this time....
