Who makes KitKats then?

Can you boot the KitKat Chunky ad, please?

thanks ever so much for your advice, fiofio, i really wouldn't have thought to do that myself. i'm just a woman, you see, so i just accept whatever shite's doled out to me in return for ribbons and shiny buttons. thank god i'm so pretty. [wide-eyed sigh]

MrsBadger · 24/04/2007 15:16

NB PLH you look very fetching in that gingham pinny.
Is it Cath Kidston or do you make your own clothes?

Mercy · 24/04/2007 15:17

Thanks Mrs Badger.

Me, posh . Don't be daft, I'm obviously thick though because I've never heard the expression before.

I was thinking along the lines of milk bottle tops and couldn't work it out!

MrsBadger · 24/04/2007 15:19

you were close - red-tops mean skimmed and homogenized news ...

Mercy · 24/04/2007 15:22
Grin
PrettyLittleHead · 24/04/2007 15:22

hunkermunker · 24/04/2007 15:25

I realise people eat KitKats, btw.

But MN Towers said they don't advertise Nestle, and yet they are.

PrettyLittleHead · 24/04/2007 15:27

Mail 'em Hunker

You're bound to have a direct email address for them from the last time you were caught trolling.

carriemumsnet · 24/04/2007 16:48

Hello all

Thanks for the alert and well spotted, it had obviously bypassed our radar. Guess it's tricky sometimes to keep up with what Nestle sell, but we'll endeavour to take down the Kit Kat and Fab ads asap. Assuming everyone still keen on the Nestle boycott? (Just checking!!

WelshBoris · 24/04/2007 16:50

I was going to post something very libelous then Carrie but I wont

gigglinggoblin · 24/04/2007 16:53

pants, didnt realise kitkats are nestle. they are the best drinking straws for coffee

MrsBadger · 24/04/2007 16:54

try a Twirl instead?

hunkermunker · 24/04/2007 16:56

I have a direct mail address for them, WB, but I never troll on MN

There's a link to all the companies Nestle has a hand in on WB's link further down the thread, Carrie Thanks for taking the KK and Fab ads off.

Oooh, I love kitkat chunky bars. I blame them for the glucose problems I had in my 2nd pregnancy.

fannyannie · 24/04/2007 17:06

well I personally think ALL the 'cheap' chocolate manufacturers should be banned from advertising on here.

Why??

here

Tells you more - but basically more than 12,000 children are trafficked into cocoa farms in Cote D'ivoire...........and nearly half the worlds chocolate is made from Cocoa grown there........

I now actively try not to buy ANY of the cheap chocolate brands since seeing this.

Oh bloody hell
They own Go Kat .. its the only food my cat will eat !

I now own a non ethical cat fgs

Elasticwoman · 24/04/2007 17:45

As a school governor I persuaded my governing body to have nothing to do with Nestle offers to schools, and was asked to write to Nestle myself to explain why. The reply I had was thick and heavy with marketing brochures claiming to be ethically pure as the driven snow. No independent evidence of purity was offered though.

JustineMumsnet · 25/04/2007 08:36

Oh dear - yes slight oversight on my part - sort of assumed when we said no Nestle that the agency would know which brands Nestle have (and boy do they have a few). Thanks for the list, WB, we'll pass on. We might have to run with the FAB campaign till conclusion but we've lost the kitkats already.

Will someone be sure to advise if Nestle do by any chance gain purity of driven snow status?

Thanks for enlightening us.

MNHQ

hunkermunker · 25/04/2007 11:15

I think you'll notice when Nestle are pure as the driven snow, Justine - it'll be the very same time as hell freezes over [unoptimistic]
