Emails from MN

I haven't had a single email from MN alerting me to activity on Threads I'm On or Threads I'm Watching for at least 48hrs. Am I being given the cold shoulder or is there something amiss?

Flaming frustrating, that's what it is! It really affects my enjoyment of the site - being alerted to action on threads I'm on or watching keeps the flow of ideas much more natural than having to check the individual sections every time I come on the site. Poor show, MN.

Tech released a fix on Friday for @ tagging and they're still looking at TIO/TIW. We'll keep you updated, really sorry for the (understandable) frustration that this is causing.

Thanks, @LornaMumsnet - it's good to know that work is still in progress. Strangely I received two TIO emails a little while ago - neither of them had had posts for many days, though, and no emails in respect of TIO threads that are more active.

I've just started receiving watched e-mails again!

So, good news! Tech has released the fix now. You may get a few lost emails turning up, but all should be resolved...

Yes, I've started getting emails this morning. The only thing is, I used to get it in a digest form, with several threads in the one email, but now, they're all coming through as separate emails. My inbox this morning was flooded with them!

Still, it's better than no emails.

I'm getting them now thanks, but they've changed in that the thread title is now in the email subject. I don't think this was the case before.

Optimist one reason only four out all the thousands of MNers reported the issue might be that lots of MNers moved to having an MN specific email account post Jeffery.

I only check my MN account occasionally, usually if I’ve reported a post and am wondering about the outcome. I wouldn’t notice if roundup emails stopped.

You have a point there, BenLui - we all have slightly different ways of using the system and different expectations of it, too!
