Great big fuck off ads on the middle of the thread?

Ok, I know you have to pay for the site somehow BUT the ads have suddenly gone HUGE again.

It seems to have happened in the last week. There's about 2 of 3 ads half way down the page. I know you need the revenue, but it really disrupts the flow of the thread. I keep thinking I've reached the end of a thread (because I am used to there being a big ad at the end of a thread.) Why is the space allocated to advertising being steadily increased?

Apologies if I am not the first person to start a thread on this, I did a quick search and couldn't find another one.

I hate this too, I have given up on quite a few threads recently as the huge ads are doing my head in!!

Ok, looks like it happens before I log in, after logging in this ad disappeared on the thread. HTH.

The ads at the bottom of the thread on the mobile site are a problem. They make the site laggy then open by themselves.

I've just had this massive ad, no idea what it's for. I'm on a Samsung tablet on android.

Now I've had this and I thought it was malware / adware. That's exactly what I got.

I sent an attachment to someone and they got a pop up advert out of nowhere.

I have done adware cleaning and found nothing. I have also switched to Firefox as was not sure if it was something to do with Crome.

I have the same problem, Safari on iPad, iOS up to date. Cant really use MN now on my iPad, its affecting other pages as well if I go on them after MN. Frustrating.

I keep getting that one too Miliband, it keeps popping back every time I close it so I can’t read the thread
