Mine is still crashing, It's only happening on MN, I've just posted a thread, however it crashes and I'm not having to use my mobile.

HaudYerWheeshtBawbag · 12/09/2017 19:00

Managed to get a screen shot, I've done a reboot and done a virus check, it's only on MN this is happening, I can stay on for 2 mins too then it crashes completely.

Wait or kill it here, Chrome on a desktop.

elephantoverthehill · 12/09/2017 19:23

I spoke too soon also. Same problems this evening. It's like the '80s all over again, I am typing faster than the screen plus I have just had another 1 second of ad sound.

paxillin · 12/09/2017 22:24

Crashes on TIO before I even open a thread.

elephantoverthehill · 14/09/2017 23:37

It is getting worse. I am now just assuming it is going to crash within 10 minutes. Anyone else?

Willow2017 · 15/09/2017 00:17

Mine keeps crashing on plain ol Google too.

Page freezes and I get message to say its stopped responding and to close or ignore. If I 'close' it reloads fine or else it comes up a network error and dissapears completely and have to reload it all again.

And my 'I am watching' threads are still appearing halfway down the page after the 'Mums insight' block on the right hand side. And the threads are all to the left side not across the page. If I click on a thread it comes up the right way which is weird.

Getting used to it now but still a pita.

Anniegetyourgun · 15/09/2017 15:34

I just came here looking for this thread as I was sure it would be a known issue. I am using Chrome on a desktop and loading is (as it has always been) set to 25 posts per page. Randomly a page will become unresponsive. It doesn't seem to be at all related to the length of the thread. It's quite a recent thing, last few days I think.

I blame the Russians...

DressedCrab · 15/09/2017 17:01

Wait or kill, again.

If it's a page number issue shouldn't it be happening on whatever browser we're using?

I am also getting massive 3 sided adverts as well, ie left and right and across the top, anyone else? When I can stay on Mumsnet I have to drag my cursor around the bottom of the page to scroll, if I go straight across I get theses massive ads. anyone else?

elephantoverthehill · 15/09/2017 22:37

Now I think my laptop has AI and is limiting my time on MN. I seem to allowed 10 minutes only. Then the cursor starts flashing, the MN logo on the tab bar goes bonkers and the refresh icon starts going bonkers. Google chrome, Office 365.

paxillin · 16/09/2017 10:10

Mine too. Google Chrome on Android tablet is fine, on the laptop stops after a minute or two.

orlantina · 16/09/2017 13:43

Really bad this morning.

It keeps on 'waiting for something' to load

Firesuit · 16/09/2017 14:53

Not sure if it's the same thing, but what brought me here is that several times this week and a few times today I've had the page completely freeze when I'm several minutes into composing a post. So frozen I can even cut and paste what I've typed to preserver it for a second attempt. I do get the wait or kill message eventually as well.

Using Chrome on Windows 10.

Firesuit · 16/09/2017 14:55

I can't cut and paste to save what I've typed.

Monny1 · 16/09/2017 14:59

I have the same problem too, l use my lap top and my mobile too. Had this prolem for a while now!

orlantina · 16/09/2017 15:06

It's been REALLY bad today.

SauvignonBlanche · 16/09/2017 18:49

It's terrible! I'm on iPad on Safari
Doing this from my phone

elephantoverthehill · 16/09/2017 19:18

It was ok this morning, but has started doing it again. I've had the sound track to ads starting even when I am away from the computer, the massive ads thing and the freezing.

TheElementsSong · 17/09/2017 06:41

I've had problems the past few days with Safari (latest version) on a MacBook. Slow behaviour, and "Safari WebContent not responding". This then occupies my CPU with much howling of fans, until I go into Activity Monitor and force quit.

HaudYerWheeshtBawbag · 17/09/2017 06:52

I'm having to use my phone now, it crashes almost immediately, again it's only when I use MN

orlantina · 17/09/2017 10:55

It's crap this morning.

lljkk · 18/09/2017 19:16

Safari: DH disabled most of the sites that feed MN ads.
Not perfect but huge improvement, I was on verge of giving up on MN before that.
DH works in "The Industry" & says that most people like me who provide content are least likely to click on the ads, anyway.

CurbsideProphet · 22/09/2017 08:35

I'm on Android and it keeps freezing. Very odd and annoying.
