Viewing just the OP's posts

I know you can colour highlight OP posts to make it easier to find them, but is it possible to view a thread and see ONLY the OP posts?
Useful when it's a fast moving zilla type thread with pages of placemarking posts.
Thanks in advance for any replies

OP posts:
NutButterNutter · 23/08/2017 18:17

Yes yes!!

IHeartDodo · 23/08/2017 18:18

Just put it on "show 100 messages", then copy the OP's name, and control+F, and click the next arrows...
Simples :)

intheairthatnightfernando · 23/08/2017 18:18

Oh yes please

cheesypastatonight · 23/08/2017 18:20

Yes please.
Though if people just stopped place marking and book marked it would also be helpful!

ClashCityRocker · 23/08/2017 18:21

Yes please! Control f5 is OK for desktop but not other platforms and I rarely use the desktop.

It might also help with thread derailing.

Bluntness100 · 23/08/2017 18:22

Dodo that doesn't work on iPad though...

Whilst here it would be great if everyone could do the bookmarking thing at the bottom of posts irrelevant of device . Save all the silly " place marking"

chloesmumtoo · 23/08/2017 18:23

Yes from me too! Would be a great option.

AGrinWithoutACat · 23/08/2017 18:24

I would love this option to - I only come on via the app and place marking comments do put me off a thread

SissySpacekAteMyHamster · 23/08/2017 18:24

I'd definitely prefer this. Can't stand all the placemarking posts on some threads, they can sometimes run yo pages without an update from the OP and it takes an age to scroll through.

IdaBiscuit · 23/08/2017 18:24

I'd find this very useful

LemonThyme82 · 23/08/2017 18:25

Yes please!

flickertee · 23/08/2017 18:26

Yes please Smile

JWrecks · 23/08/2017 18:27

I was just thinking about how useful this would be myself!! I've been on lots of other forums where this is possible, and it's lovely.

It can cause duplicate posts, but I tend to only use that feature if I'm trying to catch up and unlikely to actually post.

Bellini81 · 23/08/2017 18:27

Mine does this on the app already and I didn't highlight the original posters, it's just automatic. Or did I accidentally click something that does that on every post?

DuchessOMalley · 23/08/2017 18:29

Yes! That would be so useful!

MissBabbs · 23/08/2017 18:33

I don't know- won't it make threads a bit boring if you don't see the sometimes funny/ rude/ stroppy / helpful posts.
Won't the OP get squillions of posts saying exactly the same thing as no one's read the other posters' comments.
Perhaps make it only after 10 or 5 or whatever pages and make it a read only thread , if you want to add a post you select a post option and all the posts are then visible so there is no excuse for repeated comments I should work for MN

LonginesPrime · 23/08/2017 18:39

I agree this would be great!

Yes, you'd really need to be able to toggle it on and off with a button as opposed to changing the display in settings for all threads - it's only relevant on the really long ones where the OP disappears and people continue to entertain themselves.

Crumblevision · 23/08/2017 18:40

I would love this feature too

KnockMeDown · 23/08/2017 18:43

It's a Yes, Please from me, too!

There was another thread requesting this not so long ago.

ChanandlerBongsNeighbour · 23/08/2017 18:47

Yes I want this!

ECR123 · 23/08/2017 18:54

Yes! This would be amazing!

Violetcharlotte · 23/08/2017 18:55

Yes please!

Shnazzyshot · 23/08/2017 18:55

I'd love to be able to do this!
