MNHQ- Help- I've got an issue with my inbox due to placement of ads- can't open PMs

There seems to be an issue with the site. The blue box to the right 'Mumsnet Talk' is overlapping messages on my in box. When I click on the message it won't open due to the overlap from adverts and stuff on the right hand side of the page.

Sorry about this! Could you send us a screenshot? Also - which device and browser are you using?

I'm using a desktop pc and google chrome. I can start new messages but not access existing ones. It' s just happened this morning.

Mine is doing the same. Difficult to take a screen shot as it will include the messages !

It's the blue box where it says trending, it overlaps where we click to open messages

It's the same on my Mac. And yes, don't want to post or forward a screenshot as messages will be no longer private.

I can send new messages if I open 'send' and start a message but I can't open ones I've sent, or open messages in the inbox. I can see who they are from and the first line. As others have said it's the 'trending blue box' which is overlapping the messages and this means when you click on the message it's not opening.

Ah. Right. Totally take your point that sending us screenshots here means PMs will become just 'Ms'. Thank you for all the additional info -
we have sent it over to tech and we will keep you posted on this thread. .

When you click on " my mumsnet " and then you go to pm,s . The messages are there, but underneath is the box which says trending etc. So underneath our message it is blue , as though we have super imposed messages over the top of the trending box ! And the writing which is in that trending box writing covers the message heading so we can't see it. So it's pot luck wether we can actually see the message header.

This is still an issue - I've got a few PMs that I need to access. Any ideas?

Yes as Mummylin says the Mumsnet Talk blue box (trending etc) is superimposed over our messages so clicking on a message won't open it. I can read the first few words only.

No it isn't really as the screenshot would show the name of poster who has pm,d and also the first line of the conversation.

Looks like it do far polly. We must be the chosen ones 😂 Hopefully it will be cleared up soon now I have sent the screen shot.

The good news is tech knows what's causing it. They managed to replicate the issue from the screenshot provided. They're working on a fix.

No it's not !! Just for a second I'm sure it was correct, but Isn't now !

It's not working.

I can see who the messages are from and start a new message to them saying there is an issue, but I can't open what I've written if I go to 'sent'.
