Local boards, local names.

So, back in the earlier days of local boards, you had a local name. Worked better for people who did not want other MNers knowing where they lived etc, all fine. So recently I responded to a request by MN to go on the local board, and create a bit of traffic. I did this (cos I iz so helpful and lufferly) but I am a little suprised that I no longer seem to have the option of my 'Local' name. This concerns me a little, and presumably has made others reluctant to post also. I have responded to the email saying the above, but MN have not got back to me!

HI everyone

Thanks for flagging this to us - we understand your concerns here.

Tech have made some changes so that when you go to post on your local talk board, it will store the last username you used in any local topic, so it sets to that as the default when posting. It's currently in the last stage of testing so will be released very soon.

Apols for any inconvenience and we hope you'll want to post again on your local talk boards soon.

Hi SpongeBob

As long as you own the username, all you need to do is the next time you post on local talk is change your username directly in the username box (see image) and start posting. When you come back to posting on the local boards, this would be assigned as default. Hope this helps?
