How can I talk to a member of the HQ team privately - cannot log in to old account and password reset emails not coming through

Yesterday I posted a thread which got deleted (another story which I won't go into here because I 100% regret it). I'm not a parent, the only reason I use MN is to watch and follow threads which I am interested in and to ask this one question, which I will never do again.

After the thread was deleted (which I totally understand the reason for) I can no longer login to my old account and cannot get the password reset emails either, but I. Have not received a notification of a banning.

I just wanted to know whether you're automatically shut out after a deleted thread and if it's temporary (I had hundreds of watched threads on that account)!

Thank you.

Sounds like you're banned. Normally permanent.

PearlyPinkNails · 28/07/2017 11:19

What on earth did you ask?

FritzDonovan · 28/07/2017 11:22

Yeah, I didn't get an automatic notice about being banned until I contacted them asking why password reset emails weren't coming through. Was cleared up and obv reinstated, but it sounds exactly what happened to me.

genuineidiot · 28/07/2017 11:26

Glad it's not just me. TBH I feel so bad about what I did (MNHQ thread on teenagers board) that I know I'll never post with questions on here again like that. If it's my fault and can't be reinstated then that's okay, I get it. I'd just like to keep up with the threads I've been watching for months.

Asically it was seen as a troll thread when I'm 100% genuine. But I'm not going into it.B

Well hopefully if you contact hq they will see if your explanation checks out, then hopefully you'll be reinstated. Not sure a deleted thread would be brought back though. Hope you got some useful info before it went.

genuineidiot · 28/07/2017 11:55

I don't think I'd want the thread to be brought back. Not only is it very outing but it makes me feel terrible even thinking about it.

I did get some useful advice though. Thank you!
