Every now and then one of you pops up on a thread not to spread peace and love or point to the talk guidelines but just to chime in with the discussion.
What sort of threads do you personally enjoy? Do you have any favourites?

Ooh, nice question! I like threads like this actually - the what is your favourite/worst/most disgusting x, y or z. That's just what I've always liked about MN - the chatty, funny threads. I tend to post 'for fun' in Chat mostly. And I have a strange fascination for DIY and decorating threads. Everyone at MNHQ has a different niche though.
I think my favourite ever thread was 'He has eaten a fat ball'. It was in Active the day I went for my interview at MNHQ. I was trying to brush up on all The Big Issues of the Day, and the big issue that day turned out to be Bird Food. Which was good, because I didn't know a bloody thing about what was going on with the economy. PHEW!

I'm a bit of a geek so I tend to post on telly addicts, geeky stuff, anything on books and the dog house. Chat is always a good place to hang out too and I love reading through the Gaming threads. But one of my favorite threads was 'Whats the most middle-class accident you've had?' I didn't have much to offer except a cut from a lemon zester. But the thread really made me laugh.

I love reading it all (well, almost all!).
And pre-MNHQ I actually loved posting on AIBU but now I feel I need to be more diplomatic .

I like the ones where someone asks a deeply technical/specialist question and about 20,000 MNers come along who have incredibly specific knowledge. Garden boundary disputes, phonics teaching, investment strategies, EU governance, hydrocarbon extraction... someone on here knows something about it. (Also incredibly useful for us on the campaigns team, when we've been told half the story about something and ask you lot what you think, and you always put us very fully in the picture.)
