no, it's self-limiting moaning, that's why i don't like it... it's a yes or no thing. except that in reality it's a smug 'i'm right, aren't i?' thing.

i don't think that the towers will ban them though as they've been so popular. what about campaigning to re-name it 'MN Jury' and then at least the OP is forced to come up with something slightly more interesting.

I like them - interesting discussions.

I think I would rather have a MN jury topic, it's broader and you can have threads where there is a decision to be made without either side necessarily being considered unreasonable.

I do love a good AIBU thread if it gets heated and contentious though.

on another note i think they encourage posters to give the op a really rough ride
