Now we just need an annual thread about busting school admissions myths started by prh47, admissions or tiggy to be deleted as being a TAAT based on many threads, and we'll know for sure that changes have bedded in.

Hi again folks. We aren't going to reinstate that thread at this stage we're afraid. Apart from all the other reasons, it was becoming pretty aggressive in places and generating lots of reports, so might well have been heading for deletion in any case, and we do think the discussion can be continued in a less fraught manner.

As mentioned, we're absolutely happy for a new #2 thread to be started again though. And yes, in answer to your question conserveisposhforjam, we could then go in and edit the old thread to take posters to the new one.

We'll keep an eye on this thread this evening so we can pop in and do that asap if anyone would like to start a new thread.

Thankyou, that seems a very fair solution.

But you do need to remember that the line between 'aggression' and 'robust' is often a fine and delicate one.

I am not advocating for the right to be unpleasant but I think context is important and debate essential.

Or we could just stick to making up shit that the PTA have n't done and moaning about 'entitled' mothers letting their kids run riot in Waitrose. ..
