Could DC's ages appear at top of each post?

Hi, since we seem to spend a lot of time asking each other how old DC are in order to give advice or comment I thought it would be a good idea if their ages could appear on the same line as our username at the top of each post. It could be linked to the DC's info in our reg. details and updated automatically each month. I emailed mumsnet about it and they are going to discuss it at the next meeting. Does anyone else think it's a good idea?

Of course, someone will have already replied "FOR THE LOVE OF GOD NO", won't they?

You can always add those details into your personal profile if you want.
As it's a public forum some people don't want that kind of information on view.
Most of my posts are not about my children, and I come on here to get away from them, TBH!

malaleche · 13/02/2007 20:38

Ok everyone, I wasn't suggesting the cheesy banner type thing so beloved of other forums, just this for example:
"malaleche - date bla bla - dd1 3.4 yrs dd2 5 mths". And obviously it would be optional. Don't know anything about computer programming so didn't know it would slow things down, sorry ok? sorry!!

"Booby fed for 1 year 3 months 7 days 4 hours and 37 minutes"

Sorry Malaleche, it's a no from me as well. It's a slippery slope to 5 million 'tickers' and all that malarky!

No - some of us haven't managed to have kids yet and would have to be reminded of this failure every bloody time we posted. Sorry, I am on one today...

Whizzz · 15/02/2007 22:13

Noooo - the next stage will be tickers (56 days until the Boden Sale) or little dancing avatars....Just Say No
