Do you not have HQ people on overnight?

Couple of horrid threads today have made me think. Don't you have staff on overnight to deal with reports?

Carol. I don't pay for any other member of HQ staff, why should that one be different?

I would be prepared to pay a membership fee to post though around a fiver or a tenner seems to be standard?

Hi Auser I am on Nightwatch a few nights a week,I've had no reports at all come through so I think there may be a problem with the system.

I gather we are supposed to start a new thread in that topic to report any dodgy threads. Of course, you can report on the existing thread - but any action might not happen until the morning (UK time) when MNHQ gets into work.

Whilst the volunteer night-watchers are, undoubtedly, great - they are, after all, just volunteers.

Given the size of MN now, perhaps it is time to have some official overnight 'cover'?

Would it make sense for the night watch board to be linked to from the screen you get when you click 'report'. It's one of those boards that I don't think that many posters are aware of unless you venture over here and see the references to it?

I think that would be a great idea! I wasn't aware of it, and it would be good to know - especially out of hours as it were.

And again. A fucked up mess late and night / overnight / early in the morning. On more than one thread.

I hate putting anything on Nightwatch topic. I just look like a grass/trollhunter. It's there for all to see.

I knew the night watch existed but had no idea how to actually report stuff to them. The process could do with tweaking I think.

Although HQ cohos come along and delete posts, which is weird. But yes, that's why those threads and the others this week were left up at night.

There isn't anyone paid for overnight from HQ on the boards. It depends on volunteers.
