And general agricultural chat/moans.

Its been discussed on Chat and I know there are lots of threads that get posted but often not seen by us lonely fuckers people who could do with a bit of support and solidarity when DPs/DHs are working endless hours and we forget what they look like.

Gamekeepers wife here, tend to keep quiet about it as opinions can be very divided about gamekeepers but can totally related crazy hours when you wonder if you actually imagined your husband, random items in washing machine and only able to attend social occasions together for two months of the year!

Yay there are still some of us around Grin

Just had a call from dh telling me he's heading off to collect some parts for the baler that's managed to digest itself today - needs to be up and running for the morning as its forecast wet on Monday. Fair enough thought I - he'll be a couple of hours at most - can keep his dinner in a vaguely edible state till then.......

No he's setting off on a 4 hour round trip to the only place in the country that has the particular bits he needs, then it will be another 2 hours putting the blasted thing back together so I don't expect I shall see him much before 4am at the earliest Confused

We've just finished - the actual we rather than the royal we for once - we had a massive parlour malfunction tonight - it's taken nearly 5 hours from start to finish to get the lasses all through and then the parlour sorted. The engineer came out and head scratched. It's motor issues apparently. We're now on a bodge until Monday.

Thank goodness the dc are away with grandma.

who doing that kind of journey to anyone other than a farmer sounds so unrealistic! DP has form for saying something like 'I've just gotta go and pick up a part for the forager and then I'm done' and then you find out its 200 miles away. If I had to drive that distance at the end of a long day, there would be a lot of complaining, not a casual mention of it!
