Pop up, anyone else?

Was just on the Facebook thread and all of a sudden got diverted away from the page and given the attached pop up. Had to bash the back key (like a demented sea lion) to get back here.

I get these occasionally from other sites (yes ok usually slightly dodgy celeb gossip ones when my curiosity about Taylor Swift and Kanye gets the better of me) but have never had one on MN before.

Is it just me?

Yup Sony Xperia. Just clicking on threads I'm on and it never got there. Pop ups you can't close make.me.cross.

This just happened to me to, first time ever. On the does anyone do surveys thread. Had to close down the process to get rid of it. Think I got the porn one the other day too but the standard virgin parental controls stopped it.

Happened to me a couple of times tonight. I'm on a LG G5 using chrome. Not had any issues previously.

I just got porn, followed by an anti virus scam thing when I clicked back. It's not nice, especially with kids next yo me. Please sort it out

Hi HQ, I've just had an auto divert to porn and a popup scam all at once.
Reading a thread so no clicking.
On android, fully updated.
Running avg all the time.
Never downloaded "Pokemon Go" or any other apps in the last few months.

I had it at least four times last night, just mooching round various threads then this pops up
I then get 'are you sure you want to leave the page'
And still won't let you close it !

Another one. Your Xperia z3 has won... Had to close whole window. Was whilst I was reading a thread.

I've just had the tesco one on a Samsung s6. It just popped up as I was reading a thread, and my back button didn't work to take me back

And again. Have to close the whole thing. Its a "click OK to continue" where you have to click to Close it. Then close the whole thing.

I've run avg and nothings come.up.

Had it two or three times yesterday. It knew I had an HTC phone, saying something about it being picked for some competition for some Tesco vouchers. I didn't read it properly because I was too busy trying to click back. It kept saying something like was I sure I wanted to leave the page - accept or decline. I tried decline but nothing happened. In the end I had to close the browser to get rid of it. I've done a virus scan a couple of times and it's not found anything.
