Site diverting to irrelevant gaming(?) app.

Surely it's not just on my phone? Innocently scrolling through any old thread, with no advert in the middle of the page, I'm suddenly confronted with a huge advert. Clicking to delete it just takes me to an apps thing.

Why is it happening?

We've just nudged Tech on this one as we don't believe it to be an issue with our internal ads system. We will post back asap with an update. Apologies this is taking so long.

The Ad team did some tweaking on Friday but it seems that has not helped. We'll be raising again with them now.

Can we ask please to tell us your Browser and device info and the exact URL of the website where you've noticed the ad, so that the Ad quality team can find the root cause of the issue; and, suggest a proper resolution as soon as possible.

Hi all,

There are quite a few threads running about pop-ups at the moment. It's an incredibly frustrating issue and one that we are working hard to get to the bottom of.
