Hello you smartphone type Smile

We are interested in what notification settings you have for the apps on your phone.

You know... those messages that pop up from apps, when there’s something new for you to see.

1. Please tell us how you have things set up
Maybe you:
- leave all apps to send you all notifications
- turn them all off
- pick and choose which notifications you get

2. If you pick and choose, please tell us what types of notification you like to get, which you choose to turn off and why?
If you are an "all on" or "all off" type of person… Why is that?

3. How do you feel about notifications?

4. Are you on iPhone, Android or other type of smart phone.

I turn all notifications off. And it's bad enough I still get the red circle with numbers to tell me I'm ignoring stuff.

Android user. I set notifications to pop up in the bar at the top for email, text and WhatsApp. I don't have notifications on other apps as I'll find out what's new when i open them.

iPhone user, all notifications off. I have enough things wanting my attention!!

Android user. All notifications off apart from FB and text/messages. Would not be interested in being informed about further posts on a thread I've posted on. I use bookmark/TIO for that.

I have an iPhone and pick and chose which notifications I want. I have time critical ones such as eBay and messenger ones such as Facebook I know but leave the others off. I don't like pointless banners or noises interrupting me Smile

Android. FB on though they don't often work TBH, mind you my FB is locked down so there are not many. Text yep but nothing else.

Phone is not with me whilst at work so it makes no difference. Though at break and lunch I'll check them.

Email I have set to only retrieve on request old fashioned so I only deal with them when I want too so no notifications there.

2 different stylee beeps: 1 for FB and another for texts etc.
