I would like to opt out of all the 'junk' ads.and just be able to opt into a MN 'basic service' where all I can see is the threads..

Loading all those adverts is making it so slow and frustrating.. Also im pretty sure all the 'unresponsive script' messages are just coming from ads trying to load.. ..especially the 'movie' ones

Quite frankly I'll never buy anything or click on anything in those boxes .. I just want to see the messages!

.. (and yes i know MN want to have the ad revenue, but what is the point if its just pssng people off so much they go elsewhere? )

I think a subscription + no ads option would be a good idea.

I use firefox adblock everywhere but there are a few sites, including MN, that I really like and use a lot, and I do feel a bit guilty because I know MN needs to sell advertising. I'd happily pay a small subscription to assuage my guilt

I wouldn't want any sort of super-duper all singing all dancing 'premium' service though - just no ads.
