Or shall we all just slander whoever we like?

What's happening with Gina Ford these days?

Peggy It doesn't matter at all where it's hosted...

I could set up a site on Indian servers now but I'm still governed by UK laws.

WhoTheFuckIsSimon · 10/04/2016 23:54

Is it in Panama?

peggyundercrackers · 11/04/2016 00:06

Anchpr I didn't know if that was the case. I'm outside England and Wales and am not covered by the injunction, it's been lifted here or at least I believe it has been lifted.

MovingOnUpMovingOnOut · 11/04/2016 00:11

See I know from all the trolling who is the subject of the thread but I just don't give a shit don't know what it's about.

I think I've even read a thread explaining it but I have forgotten Confused

BeccaMumsnet · 11/04/2016 00:12

@peggyundercrackers

Becca your office may be in the uk but your web site isn't hosted in the uk.

We are a UK website however, as we are UK based, regardless of where the site may be hosted. I personally would have to ask Tech where that is exactly.

BeccaMumsnet · 11/04/2016 00:16

@WhoTheFuckIsSimon

Is it in Panama?
FelicityR313 · 11/04/2016 00:16

Becca. Come now. You're not based in the UK, you don't comply by UK laws? Either in terms of tax-takes nor internet compliance, am I correct?

Or DO you?

peggyundercrackers · 11/04/2016 00:17

Becca no need to ask on my behalf, I'm not really interested.

DonkeyOaty · 11/04/2016 00:25

Felicity, come come now

Half past midnight on a Sunday ain't the best time to grill the lovely Becca

FelicityR313 · 11/04/2016 00:48

peggyundercrackers How narcissistic of you to think that I was asking on your behalf!

WhoTheFuckIsSimon · 11/04/2016 06:27

Server hosting is surely totally different to where the comoany is registered.? They're not the same thing. Google suggests that Mumsnet is a UK registered Plc. A business can have its servers hosted anywhere but still be UK registered.

MovingOnUpMovingOnOut · 11/04/2016 07:40

Aren't they a limited company rather than a Plc?

peggyundercrackers · 11/04/2016 08:05

How narcissistic of you to think that I was asking on your behalf!

Erm... No it isn't. I asked a question and you answered directly saying you didn't know but you would need to ask to find out the answer. If you had not answered directly I would have thought it was for your benefit but because you answered me directly I thought you were doing so to come back to me.

peggyundercrackers · 11/04/2016 08:06

Moving on yes it's a ltd company not a Plc.

exLtEveDallas · 11/04/2016 08:10

Shock is BeccaMN also FelicityR313?

I thought Peggy was talking to Becca
But Felicity was rude to Peggy
And Peggy has now replied to Felicity

(My head hurts)

AllPowerfulLizardPerson · 11/04/2016 08:10

It doesn't actually matter whether MNHQ are legally bound to follow the SI. Or have simply chosen to do so. Because it's their circus and their monkeys.

It might simply be a case of the spirit of the site (to be generally supportive of parents) and whether it is actually right to publish details of someone's sex life against their will. After all, what does this 'reveal'? That non-monogamous relationships can still be successful? Yup, that's cutting edge news.

BeccaMumsnet · 11/04/2016 08:18

No, it definitely isn't me!

WellErrr · 11/04/2016 08:32

I've reported loads lately and hardly any replies, so your reports issue may well be back!
