After the initial flurry of excitement where they were everywhere, I've hardly noticed them at all lately.

I think it's a non-issue.

Plus, I like the smiling poo emoji!

I think they have come back again recently. And in thread titles. Messing the place up.

The majority of posters on that thread didn't want them iirc.

Although there was a sizeable group of huns that did like them.

Must admit I hated seeing them in thread titles, but hadn't noticed any recently. I'll be on the lookout now!

I know they will stay and we will have to lump it. Same as when Most Active inexplicably turned into 'Trending' and everyone objected to that too but got told it was tough.

I think it's just the fact that we were asked what we thought and told 'we can get rid of them' but now suddenly that's not possible.

Plus (broken record) a lot of us see a load of tiny squares anyway and not the emojis.

Tech have you found a weird and wonderful way of making the really enormous emojis be a nice in-line sensible size? Or am I getting confused about the times I've been toggling between here and FB again?

It's still annoying when the entire point of a post is possibly being changed by what sort of emoji she/he has put immediately after. The one that's come up as an empty small black box. No idea if it's a grin or tears or hysterical fury or just a faint smile.

re non MN emojis... some are funny, eg the pyramidal dog turd. Which I will admit made me laff the first time I saw, it, and possibly the second too, but is now EXTREMELY BORING. But a lot of them turn up as little boxes that make no sense at all, I assume it depends on the poster's platform.

I see them ok but I'm never quite sure what some of the expressions mean. You know where you are with a or a . I need to get my old-gimmer varifocals sorted out.

I thought it was down to me not having the right gadget rather than the poster. Usually on my laptop.

Yes, when I first saw the turd I thought it was hilarious but the novelty soon wears off. Teen Facebook stuff.
