UPDATE: The Tired Parents - new episode!

Hello all

Come and have a look at the first four episodes of The Tired Parents, a new animated-reality series which affectionately explores those testy conversations that take place between exhausted new parents, when they're perhaps not quite their usual cheery selves Wink.

If you're having the occasional moment of sleep-deprived mutual grumpiness yourself, you might recognise some of these conversations; if you're beyond that stage now, feel free to relive the horror (and thank your lucky stars Grin).

There'll be a new episode every Friday over on www.mumsnet.com/video, so do check back each week - and in the meantime, let us know what you think, share your own memories of sleep-deprived parental grumpiness - or suggest a scenario that you think would make a great future Tired Parents episode.

UPDATE: New episode available over here!

Yes, the competitive illness is always a good one.

TychosNose · 22/01/2016 20:41

Insomnia is a luxury.

That is without a doubt the funniest line I've ever heard. These are absolutely brilliant.

Kraggle · 22/01/2016 21:14

Just watched all the episodes and they are brilliant. Very true to real life!

I agree with a future episode of pretending not to hear the baby cry to see who gives up first.
Maybe a who's turn is it to change the nappy when dc has done a poo?

Thethingswedoforlove · 22/01/2016 22:26

What about whose turn is it to stay off work when a dc is sick?

ThisMamaCanTV · 23/01/2016 13:50

Your videos are fab funny and so true! I'd LOVE TO DO A COLLAB video with you. I've got a couple spoof ideas to propose. I hope you'll email me on [email protected] to discuss. Wink Lynn x

We have been watching these and are becoming increasingly concerned that they are based on us!

They are absolutely brilliant. Keep them coming.

ppandj · 24/01/2016 11:05

Absolutely love these! The night out was exactly what we were like on Wednesday.

FannyFanakapan · 24/01/2016 12:49

Linked to competitive tired, how about competitive "busy week" - DH works away, so has really "busy weeks" where he stays in a hotel, goes to the gym, eats in restaurants with his colleagues and sleeps like a baby.

I have 5 kids, 4 of them teens, Hmm so my life is not busy at all.

Wigeon · 24/01/2016 20:46

Just watched these - funnier than I expected and managed to be new and fresh in the very over crowded world of humour about parenting.

FunnysInLaJardin · 24/01/2016 22:25

very good, a bit like A Town Called Panic, which the DC love!

olympicsrock · 24/01/2016 23:00

Dh always finds jobs in the garden or in the garage at the weekend which are not suitable for toddler to come with him to do. Dangerous tools too cold etc . Actually he is just tinkering while listening to the football while I stay inside playing more mindless games with the toddler otherwise known as ignoring him while watching soap operas to drown out the banging of cars and trains crashing and being driven insane. He thinks he is the one working at the weekend therefore needs a sleep when he comes inside. I have tried dressing ds in a thermal playsuit to help daddy with the gardening. From his point of view I am just watching telly in the living room which is leisure time not childcare. Also in the summer it us amazing how often he cuts the lawn also too dangerous for children to join hiM. ...

Valentine2 · 25/01/2016 12:13

How about doing changing a poop diaper when you forget whose turn it was.

TwinklyMusic · 26/01/2016 01:21

Yes, clearly you've been listening in on our conversations...Grin

Now you have to have one where the less 'valued' traits of a child are not so subtly compared to similar traits in the other parent's family!

Valentine2 · 01/02/2016 18:20

This new one is hilarious too. Good job. It does not beat the potato one but nearly there.

ClaireP86 · 14/03/2016 21:24

Look forward to the new episode every week! Keep it up!
