I am not sure if it is OK for me to post under my regular username but would prefer to do so anyway...

Aside from being hugely humbled by virtue of nomination...I wanted to extend a heartfelt thank you for the generosity of your gift at what is a really very difficult time of year for my children and I. The kindness and thoughtfulness of others when you are having a tough time is so very comforting and I thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Xmas2015SantaA6950 what can I say? Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your gifts arrived today. Beautifully boxed up and like a little treasure chest; opening it was a treat in itself!

I have only opened the envelopes and I have to ask you if you made the Christmas card yourself as it is so lovely that I will be keeping it and bringing it out for every future Christmas! Your message made me smile and my heart swell and makes a fabulous gift by itself because the way it made me feel is how the best gifts should make everyone feel!
I really love that you truly considered what to send my children by what I said about them and I will show Ds the message for him too; I'm certain it will inspire him! The gift for me in the envelope is very welcome and will allow me a treat sometime in the near future. The other will remain unopened until Christmas morning and I will savour it! Thank you so much .

To SantaC8747 - your box arrived the other day but I have been run ragged until this morning when I had a chance to open it. I am completely blown away. My 18 year old DS is already eyeing up the chocolate goodies and the Percy Pigs have bought a smile (and a tear) to my eye for various reasons. I shall enjoy immensely.

I am very pleased your children are enjoying their gifts, it's all boys in our family, and I'd never bought for a little girl before, it was quite difficult not to go mad with fairy wings and Princess dresses .

It's lovely to hear of the way you explained things to your DS, we have been in a financial crisis before (2012) and a very kind stranger saved our Christmas. It was nice to be able to finally pass on some Christmas joy to another family.

Am delighted you a) received it! and b) it was Ok. I know my dd would have loved the letters at the same age and I was so pleased to find a wooden version! I wish you and your family the best Christmas - you have no idea how much pleasure I got from shopping and wrapping for you; I have missed it. Enjoy the gifts, spend unwisely ;)
