I did the same thing a few days ago. I think mine was repeated over a dozen times!

I think the reason for duplicates is that when you post through the "pop up" Secret Santa thingy (technical term!) it doesn't actually acknowledge the post as sent, instead it looks like the post is stuck , like when the site is down. If that makes sense.
So others, like me, must have been repeatedly tapping "post" thinking it's not gone through, until we give up, check thread then facepalm.

That is my guess anyway

To C & A: Thank you so much! The presents were amazing - I am utterly bowled over by your kindness and generosity. I know you said not to open them until Christmas but I wanted to know what I was thanking you for (that's just my excuse, of course!). The gifts were absolutely spot on, especially DD's magnetic letters. She's got them all over the fridge and is picking out all the Ms for her name. She's just at the stage where she can write her name and is fascinated with letters, so it was a brilliant present for her. We are all so grateful - it was like a huge Christmas hug! Thank you SO much for your lovely parcel which arrived today.

After a few difficult year this has really, really come at a good time and makes me feel so grateful that lovely people still exist and things can be better than they currently are.

You added a note saying contents were chosen my you and your daughter which makes it even more special to us - gifts from one child to another are somehow even more meaningful.

I am not normally so soppy, but I won't forget this in a long time. The kindness of strangers has been a humbling thing. I have kept the note inside, and will remember you and your kindness always.

I returned home today after a busy day, battling through traffic after visiting my GP and find my Secret Santa gift.

I opened the parcel and sat and sobbed at the overwhelming genorosity of a very lovely and kind MNETTERS.

I'm so excited and full of hope for my life rlthat there are such people as yourself in this world.
