Hello, hello,
Remarkably it seems we’ve been nominated for a 2015 Website of the Year award (if it was you who nominated us, bless you!), in the Community category for platforms for discussion of best practice in parking and sharing knowledge, information and ideas.

We’re up against a few wee start-ups such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. So if you were of a mind to vote for us, please do!

The voting period runs from today (Monday 21 September) until Friday 30 October.

Voting is easy. Just click on this link

Choose the ‘Communities’ category.

Choose your favourite website

Rate the site out of a possible five stars

Confirm your vote.

That’s it.

Thanks very much for your support Flowers

And if you vote for Twitter instead… well, of course, that’s absolutely FINE

Done. I do like a 'vote for my potato baby' request.

HoneyDragon · 21/09/2015 13:26

I know, I know! Why don't we just ask Jeffrey to vote for all of us on our behalf? He knows all our details. Grin

Done. I would be insane by now without mn. I wouldn't be listening to radio 4 either. I would rather have Wine than gin.

Done - but it's going to cost you a Gin emoticon! Grin

Would it be very naughty of me to cast multiple votes from multiple devices using multiple email addresses?

Wryip11 · 21/09/2015 15:15

lol Brazenness gets me every time, have voted (and for a few other categories whilst I was there) Grin

As long as we beat LADBible, eh?

BathshebaDarkstone · 22/09/2015 07:06

Done Smile

CormoranStrike · 22/09/2015 07:28

Done. I even gave you five stars too.

But in the suggestions box I asked - very nice - to get the tech strengthened cos there's a teensy feeling of being vulnerable to exposure when on here these days. I may never discuss my varicose veins online again.

CormoranStrike · 22/09/2015 07:28

*nicely

stephanielittl7 · 22/09/2015 07:29

Have voted Smile

MTWTFSS · 22/09/2015 08:04

Done :)

IRuthBolirsUhbniuzsDH · 22/09/2015 08:11

How was everyone commenting here, I couldn't get on all day.

I'd normally vote fulsomely for MN, however with the latest bit of technological hoo ha I feel a bit hmmm about it.

I mean it's a great site when it's available and all!

Sorry.

EnjoyTheSimpleThingsInLife · 22/09/2015 08:52

Done..considering you asked so nicely Smile

Geoff0409 · 22/09/2015 09:03

Done. Mumsnet is brilliant.

Mindysgotswag · 22/09/2015 09:34

Think that MN is a brilliant site but...could do without all these technical hitches

Voted anyway!Grin

LittleMissIntrovert · 22/09/2015 09:43

I will vote for you because I realized yesterday when I couldn't get on how much I missed it!

IRuthBolirsUhbniuzsDH · 22/09/2015 17:38

Bumping for those who may be less sulky than myself Grin

Chapsie · 22/09/2015 21:42

You must be having a laugh! Site is often down, hacked, posts tampered with, personal data posted publicly slow communication form the top explaining what was happening. No I don't think I'll vote.

hiddenhome2 · 23/09/2015 10:14

This is the worst site (technically speaking) that I've ever been on. Even the crappy parenting site I used to go on during the early 2000s didn't have these problems.

It's barely working now and you never know what's going to happen when you click on something.

Do you have something against Apple? I like Apple products because I'm a bit thick and they're easy to use. It's not my fault.

I will not vote because this place is the only social interaction I get (being a hermit 'n' all) and it's now crumbling around me.

I am going to clean the house now.

IRuthBolirsUhbniuzsDH · 23/09/2015 10:31

I love MN, and have been here for almost (gulp) 9 years. I do think that the site has got a bit too big a bit too quickly and as such is barely keeping on top of its tech set up, security and so on.

That said it works most of the time. For me, anyway. And I am thankful for that.

I think to give it a website award when it's kind of goofing on the technical front at the moment, would be an anachronism (if that's the right word). A hippy dippy, feelgood, virtual home award - certainly. I live here, pretty much.

But I feel a website award should incorporate a bit of grown up ness, ie, awareness and attention paid to the important side of things.

It's a bit like when you buy your first car and you adore it and stick flowers on it and give it a name. Then it falls to pieces because being 19 you forgot you needed to get it serviced.

You love it, but you wouldn't give it car of the year. iyswim.
I like to think while us lot are tootling away merrily on here, adding nothing to the stability of the site itself, someone, somewhere on the Northern Line route is actually thinking about what makes it stay running and whether it needs a bit of underpinning here and there, or a new roof.

Hope that all makes sense.
