So we can stop with the "am I on the list" posts/threads/hysteria, here is the list, as published on another thread.

The only difference between this & the original is that I have removed the many duplicates! Several users were on the list several times (which to me, says that this wasn't a copy & paste of as many users as possible & it is possible that as MNHQ said, a phising attack via the log in page.

I have also split it into smaller sections.

My old username is on the list, but what I would like to know is what password was with it. What's the best way for me to find that out?

The reason I'm wondering is that my old password is one I used for many things, my updated password was only for this site.

in that case change everything associated with that password.
we did the same for Ebay account and Amazon as a precaution

Where's all the email address'? My normal username is on there, but I nced a day or so before this all kicked off for a personal thread, but couldn't remember my nc so used my email address to log in... I can't be the only one who's done this.

Does this mean potentially someone has my email address and my password? that I stupidly use for absolutely everhthing?!

I hope you saw Sheeba's reply to me above Nc, start changing your passwords! It's a good idea to have different ones anyway.

Umm, I knew I was on the list, because MNHQ emailed me to tell me I was.

I don't use the MN password for anything else, particularly after the Heartbleed thing.

Apparently I am on the list, but just with this name-change and no previous ones.

But, does this mean, somewhere on a website there's my MN name, edress and [then] password?

Change all your passwords everywhere regardless of whether you are on the list or not.

And don't just add 1 to the end of the existing ones. (Jeffrey's fan club were predicting - IIRC and among other things - that most users would just capitalise one letter and tag on a 1 at the end and that's what they would likely try first.) Start afresh.

Don't change "e" into "3" nor swap "i" for "!"
both are very common things people do

adding swearwords however....

Yay! Finally back in but lost my old name. A heads up to anyone with a dormant email on their account that MNHQ can only send password resets to the email on your account. If you can't access the email on your account then you will have to reregister to get back in.
