Problems with Late night MN

I am often on mn around 1:30-3am and am regularly having problems with the website timing out and getting a 504 time out error, I have also had a lot of problems with posting which is regularly resulting in multiple posts.
I know back when the fields where green the site used to shut down for 1hr to allow for maintenance so I have a suspicion this might be an admin thing as the cause. But it is really annoying and the not showing posts have posted/multiple postings is very frustrating. Can you look into this and fix it pretty please!

I'm on laptop using windows and chrome.

I have been having the same problem tonight.
With a dozen repeated posts.

It's currently failing to load, or incredibly slow.

Yes, this has been going on on my android tablet and the mobile site, at least for the last week or so, from around 1.30. "Server didn't respond in time".

Same here, ipad, safari. Again, always around 2am.

I was on Chrome last night on a Windows 8.1 laptop, and had similar problems.
It took too long to load and refreshing went to the cache version.

(I have long given up on Apple and Safari for MN)

It speeded up just as I was posting, so I would agree the Zone of Doom seems to peak at 1.30-2.15 am.

Tried to open Active Convos at 0200 but page just hung

BUT

Googling eg 'Mumsnet, AIBU' worked, but still unable to use Active, Threads I'm On, or anything else, only worked via Google

Happened again @ 0104 am. Page just hanging so gave up.

I think part of the problem I have is that the page hangs with the post not posting and any picture would tell you little except that the ctrl-Enter breifly disappears

has happened a couple more times but not been online at the peak time for this recently.

Hopefully Tech can figure out what is going on.

Last night at about 1.30 - and the only website I couldn't access. I'd put up a screenshot but it's more or less the same as RedRug's.

Have had to cut the pictures a little for privacy reason (partially thanks to the hello bit) but taken around 10 mins ago. Tried to refresh threads I'm on and it just hung and eventually posted with crappy formatting.

Last night was bad at the usual time with boring 504 message. Any update yet?
