Could I please ask Mumsnet to run the new British Transport Police 'Report it to Stop it' campaign

I was assaulted on public transport. I have namechanged today to post about other things but would rather keep my namechange :). The BTP were fantastic - I couldn't fault them and would not hesitate to report another incident.

One thing that made me sad though was that I had seen this man assault other women but not one of them came forward which meant the trial became a me vs him event. Sexual assault is so under reported :(.

I really want public transport to be safe for women (and men!) and safe for our children. And we can only do this if we come forward and report incidents when we experience them or see them so please please don't hesitate to report incidents.

I could not believe how well I was listened to, how the BTP supported me and ultimately, helped me regain my confidence to go back on public transport again. But we have so much more to do!

Assaulted and never came forward. It's such a shame as I was supported very well by BTP and was always kept informed about what was happening and what the next stage was.

Well done for reporting, hopefully this will help help others too to!
